Italy
Italy is one of the three countries we've called home, which makes it strangely hard to write about. You stop noticing the porticoes when you walk under them every day.
So this page is a start. Bologna, where the arcades run for kilometres and the anatomical theatre of the Archiginnasio is still panelled in spruce. The Aosta Valley, from the lakes of Colle del Nivolet in Gran Paradiso up to Punta Basei, and then by cable car to the Dent du Géant and the Aiguille du Midi. And Sirmione, on Lake Garda.
More to come.
